The Periosteal Elevator is a surgical instrument used to raise gingival tissue before extracting the tooth to prevent sensitive gums from getting crushed. The broad end is used to elevate the tissue from bone, while the pointed end is for working on the tissue between the teeth.

Available in various designs and sizes. Autoclavable up to 134 °C/273F °.
