3-0 Plain Surgical Gut Sutures are absorbable sutures intended for closing or facilitating the healing of wounds. These sterile sutures have a yellowish tan, measure 18" per pack, and are made out of purified connective tissues taken from the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep intestines or the serosal layer of beef.

Plain Surgical Gut Sutures are delivered using the special X-1 needle with a cutting edge reverse point type. Plain Surgical Gut Sutures have an absorption rate of 70 days.
